Jonah Shacknai

Jonah Shacknai is a business professional with decades of experience in the pharmaceutical field.

Jonah Shacknai also dedicates a great deal of his energy towards charitable causes. In 2012, he started the MaxInMotion Foundation to allow economically and physically challenged children to participate in sports. So far, the organizations have affected the lives of more than 34,000 young athletes. In 2019, MaxInMotion expanded its partnership with Southern California Youth Soccer Organization, providing athletic and leadership opportunities for Latino youth in Southern California. The non-profit also announced that it would be continuing its partnership with the Arizona Soccer Association for an 8th consecutive year. It has also established Ability360 — a wheelchair sports clinic program supporting disabled youth.

Jonah Shacknai is also the President of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids Foundation, a leading American advocacy organization that is working to reduce tobacco use and its consequences in the US and around the world. Since 1996, the company’s tireless work has helped to create a 70% reduction in youth smoking and a 39% decrease in adult smoking.

Jonah Shacknai was co-founder and chairman at Illustris Pharmaceuticals, and former CEO of Medicis Pharmaceutical. He also served as Chief Aide to the US House of Representative’s committee for health policy.
